Professional Background:
I received my bachelor's and master's degrees from Texas A & M University- Commerce in 1971 and 1972 respectively. Later, I earned an administrative certification in 1975.  I began my career in education in 1972 teaching industrial arts in Bonham. Then, I became the Fannin County Special Education Vocational Adjustment Coordinator for all the school districts in Fannin County (1976-1983).  Next, I taught life and earth science at L. H. Rather in Bonham (1983-1985).  In 1985-1991, I worked as assistant principal at Greenville Intermediate School in Greenville which had a student body of 850 students.  Greenville ISD named me principal of Houston Elementary in 1991.  Savoy ISD invited me to come to Savoy Elementary as principal in 1998.  I  have been an administrator for twenty-one years of my thirty-six years in education.
