2008 at the TCEA Convention. This is held once a year to showcase all
the new technology for schools. There is so much technology invented
for our students. I wish I had a million dollars to spend. From the new
Smartboards (we now have 3 of these) and new software that make learning
fun. This is an exciting time to be involved with technology!!!
This year I have notified parents about their child(ren) if they are running out of money or have charges in the cafeteria. The children have so much on their minds; they tend to forget to tell their parents they are out of lunch money. Our teachers e-mail the parents of their students about wonderful things their child(ren) have done as well as difficulties that come up during a normal school day. Isn't technology wonderful? I have the students twice a week for 30 minutes. We cram a lot into that 30 minutes. The students are eager to learn, and sometimes they teach me!
