I was born in a small West Texas town of Roscoe, TX. near Sweetwater where the Rattlesnake Roundup is held each year! I attended school in Colorado City, TX.  My parents were married 16 yrs. before I was born… okay, I was spoiled!
We lived in Big Springs, TX.  Monahans, TX. My family moved back to Colorado City when I was in the 3^rd grade and lived there until I moved to Lubbock, TX. I met Ed and we got married. We came to Savoy in 1967 on Thanksgiving Day, coming here as a bride of barely 1 week!  I went and received my GED in 1972. And I also  have Texas Educator Paraprofessional Certificate. I kept children in my home from 1975 to 1981. And most of you know my husband was killed in Sept. `06. I have two children, MiChelle, and Keith… I have 2 grand-daughters, Stormie 19 yrs. old and Taylor 5 yrs. of age. And a new one due in Sept. 2008.  Will be born in Turkey!

          I am proud to say that both my children attended elementary school and graduated from High School here in 1987 and 1989. My son went straight into the United Air Force, and Chelle is Supervisor of the Maintenance Dept. at a major business in Sherman. I had one grand-daughter who attended school here until she was 14 years old. I’m very proud of our schools. I have been here at Savoy Elementary for 10 years; I was Pre-K aide for 7 years. And the last 3 years I have been responsible for the Computer Lab.
