Personal Information:
I was born in the small west Texas town of Roscoe. It is about thirteen miles west of Sweetwater where the "National Rattlesnake Roundup" has been held for a number of years. I attended school in Colorado City. My parents, Rusty and Iva, were married sixteen years before I was born.............okay, I was spoiled as a only child!!
I have lived in Monahans, Big Spring, and Lubbock.

My family moved back to Colorado City when I was in the 3rd grade.

I lived there until I moved to Lubbock. I met Ed Thomasson and we were married. We moved to Savoy in 1967 on Thanksgiving Day. I came here as a bride of one week.  Ed and his dad built the Savoy apartments. I received my GED in 1972. I also have a Texas Educator Paraprofessional Certificate. I kept children in my home from 1975 until 1981.

I have two children.  Michelle Pineda, who graduated from Savoy. She has a Associate Degree from Grayson. She was involved with stage productions, making the costumes for Casa Ma`na, Medieval Times in Ft. Worth-Dallas Area, and
"Texas" in Amarillo, Texas. She worked with the Arizona Playhouse as Costume Director.  She is now "Director of Funding" at a major business in Sherman. She has one daughter, Stormie, who is twenty years old and went to Savoy schools until she was fourteen years old. Michelle lives in Whitesboro, Texas.

My son, Keith, joined the Air Force his senior year. After he graduated, he spent five years in Hawaii,
five years in Florida, five years in Alaska, and three years in Colorado. Now, he and his family live in Adana, Turkey.  He will serve three years there and retire. His wife has two years to go, so they will be home in early 2012. I have a granddaughter who was born in Alaska; Taylor is seven old. I have a grandson due in Sept. 2008. He will be born in Turkey.

I'm very proud of our Elementary school. Our teachers put so much effort into teaching no matter what grade level your child is leaving or going into. They share so much information; we're like a big family.
Students come first here. I was Pre-K aide for seven years and now I have been responsible for the Computer Lab, as an aide for four years. I love it .... the young ones aren't afraid of a computer and touch buttons just to see what the computer will do!!!! And sometimes a lot does happen!!!!!!!!! He-hee!!
