Mrs. Al's First Grade

Welcome to First Grade!
This is going to be a fun and exciting year. This year you will get to do many things with your friends, like go to class parties and field trips and play learning games.  Do you like to listen to music?  We will learn songs and dances that teach us new ideas.  You will also get to be an author and write your very own stories.  You will get to share some of your stories on our classroom stage. Best of all, you will learn to read.  You will read funny stories, scary stories, and true stories about animals and weather.  I hope you like plays, too.  You will read and perform many of those.  I just love the first grade and I know you will, too.

We get to read and write.

Forget that nap time rest!

We get to do some adding.

And graphs are so much fun!

I really like my teacher.

I am sad when the day is done.

First grade, first grade, first grade.
