Reading
Counts This year you will get to do
"Reading Counts." Reading Counts is the name of the
book tests that you get to take about the books you check out
from the library. Each time you read a library book or have a
library book read to you, you can take a computer
test about the book. If you pass the test
you earn a point. Students scoring 50 points by the end of
April will get to go on their choice of a skating or bowling field
trip. Reading library books is a lot of fun and taking the computer
tests are even more fun. Each time you pass a test, a cartoon
screen appears with your name on it. Don't
worry if you can't yet read your library book or computer tests. Your
parents can read your library book to you and we have volunteers who
read the computer tests. By January almost all of you will be
reading your very own library books and tests. Good luck and
enjoy the books!
