Our Spelling Routine:
Mondays - We take a Spelling pretest. If a student makes a
100, then he/she is exempt from taking the test on Friday. They
are to write their misspelled
words ten times each and record all missed words in the back of their spelling workbook log.
Tuesdays - We complete both pages from the spelling workbook for each lesson.
Wednesdays and Thursdays - teacher choice - we may focus on parts
of speech, word origin, syllables, alphabetizing, word meanings,
dictionary skills
Fridays - Final test for mastery
