Greetings!
My name is Terry Essary. I grew up in a small town in deep south Texas
(Zapata). Look at the map below if you would like to follow along
as I describe my moves.
,
I grew up and graduated from high school in Zapata, Texas (green
arrow on the map). When I finished high school, I headed out to
Lubbock, Texas (#1 on the map). I graduated from Texas Tech
University in 1995, then returned for graduate school, to earn my
teachers' certification. After earning my certification, I moved
to the Dickinson/Texas City area for my first teaching experience.
Then, I moved to the Jacksonville/Tyler, TX area for my next 3
years of teaching. Finally, I found my way to north Texas.
Now, I am in my 7th year of teaching, and my second year at Savoy.
I am so happy and excited to be a part of the Savoy ISD family. I
feel like I have finally found my way back home. Of all the
schools I have worked at, as a teacher/substitute/cafeteria specialist,
etc, Savoy is the best and happiest. I look forward to many happy
years here.
Starting in January, 2008, I will be taking graduate classes, working
toward my Masters in Education and my Principals' certification.
