About Me
I
grew up in Fort Worth and graduated with honors from The University of
Texas at Arlington in 1994. I have a major in English and a minor in
music and elementary education. I am proud be a member of the Alpha Chi
National Honor Scholarship Society, Distinguished Honor Roll, and the
Golden Key National Honor Society. I am certified to teach
Elementary English grades 1-8 and Elementary Self Contained grades 1-8.
I trained to become a Reading Recovery
teacher in 1996 at the University of Texas at Tyler. I enjoy teaching
both in the classroom and working with students individually in Reading
Recovery.
I enjoy traveling, running, and sports. My husband Mike and I
enjoy training and working out our dogs. Together, we race our dogs on
a very competitive flyball team called Hyper Flight. Our dogs are
Skunk, Jazz, Blur, Rush, Link, Psyche, and Chex.
