About Me

I grew up in Fort Worth and graduated with honors from The University of Texas at Arlington in 1994. I have a major in English and a minor in music and elementary education. I am proud be a member of the Alpha Chi National Honor Scholarship Society, Distinguished Honor Roll, and the Golden Key National Honor Society.  I am certified to teach Elementary English grades 1-8 and Elementary Self Contained grades 1-8.

I trained to become a Reading Recovery teacher in 1996 at the University of Texas at Tyler. I enjoy teaching both in the classroom and working with students individually in Reading Recovery.

I  enjoy traveling, running, and sports. My husband Mike and I enjoy training and working out our dogs. Together, we race our dogs on a very competitive flyball team called Hyper Flight.  Our dogs are Skunk, Jazz, Blur, Rush, Link, Psyche,  and Chex.
