I am a 2015 graduate of the University of Texas at Tyler, 2003 graduate of Texas A&M University-Commerce, and a 1999 graduate of Honey Grove High School.
I hold Master’s of Arts in School Counseling and a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education. I am certified as a School Counselor in grades Pre-K-12 and to teach grades Pre-K through four.
I am beginning my sixteenth year at Savoy ISD, with this year being my first year as the district counselor. I have taught lots of things including, third grade, fourth grade, pre-k, dyslexia, and gifted and talented. I am also the Elementary Campus Testing Coordinator, RtI Coordinator, and 504 Coordinator.
I have been married to my husband, Jeff, for fifteen years. We have two children. Our daughter is nine and our son is five. We also have many pets that help comprise our family. We have horses, two dogs, two cats, a few cows with plenty of personality, and recently added chickens!
I really enjoy reading, sewing, crafting, and decorating in my free time. I also love to help with events in my church and spending time with family, friends, and church family.
I have loved teaching the past 15 years and I am so excited to have the opportunity to serve our students social and emotional needs as the School Counselor! In fact, if I ever became a millionaire, I would continue doing what I'm doing; just with better shoes and a housekeeper!
