School Counselor PK-12
I graduated from Sulphur Springs High School, then completed a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Art with teacher certification at Texas A&M University-Commerce. I obtained my Master’s in School Counseling at West Texas A&M University. I am also a certified Dyslexia teacher through the MTA program.
This is my second year at Savoy Independent School District. Five years in the classroom teaching art was a special time in my life. I have taught 7th-8th grade art/advanced art at Greenville Middle School, and 6th-8th grade art at Sulphur Springs Middle School. I also have two years experience working with 5th grade special needs students which impacted my life immensely.
Long before I began teaching, my dream was to become a school counselor. I have always wanted to be in a position, where I could focus on changing children’s lives. I was born and raised in Sulphur Springs on a small dairy farm. Growing up in the country led to my love of animals. I have seven horses and one guard cat. In my spare time, I enjoying traveling, cooking, drawing, and sculpting.
